Shah and Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College was established in 1985 with the vision of delivering high-quality technical education and fostering innovation among students. Managed by Mahavir Education Trust, the institution is approved by AICTE, New Delhi, Government of Maharashtra, and affiliated to the University of Mumbai.
The institute offers undergraduate programs in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, Cyber Security, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, VLSI Design, and Advanced Communication Technology along with postgraduate programs in major engineering domains.
The institution has been accredited by NBA for multiple programs and awarded an ‘A’ Grade by NAAC with 3.16 CGPA. It has also received autonomous status from UGC for 10 years starting from academic year 2024-25. The college was honored with the “Best College Award” by the University of Mumbai.

About the Department of Electronics Engineering

B. Tech in Department of Electronics Engineering (VLSI Design & Technology) was established in 2023. This branch is specialized in VLSI (Very Large Scale Integration) of Integrated Circuits including Design, Testing and Manufacturing of Semiconductor ICs.
The Government of India has launched multiple semiconductor initiatives and signed MoUs with national and international companies to establish semiconductor manufacturing and testing plants in India. This creates vast research, innovation, startup and career opportunities for future VLSI engineers.
The department focuses on research areas such as Front-End Design, Back-End Design, Embedded Systems, IoT, AI/ML in VLSI, RF Design, Nanotechnology, Autonomous Vehicles and Emerging Semiconductor Technologies.
The department has experienced faculty members, smart classrooms and advanced laboratories equipped with industry-standard EDA tools including Cadence, Tanner and Xilinx platforms.
