Shah and Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College was established in 1985 for the purpose of imparting quality technical education. The college is managed by Mahavir Education Trust. The college is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and Government of Maharashtra, and is affiliated to University of Mumbai. It also has an ISO 9001:2015 Certification. It offers under graduate courses in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Computer Science, Electronics & Telecommunication, Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, Cyber Security, Electronics (VLSI Design & Technology) and Advance Communication Technology. It also offers Post Graduate Courses in Computer Engineering, Information Technology & Electronics Engineering. UG Program in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering is accredited by NBA for 3 years from Academic Year 2024-25, 2025-26, and 2026-27, i.e., up to 30/06/2027. UG Program in Computer Engineering and Information Technology is accredited by NBA for 3 years from Academic Year 2025-26, 2026-27, and 2027-28, i.e., up to 30/06/2028. Institute is awarded ‘A’ (3.16 CGPA) Grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) w.e.f. 20-10-2021. We are pleased to announce that Institute has been awarded autonomy from the University Grants Commission (UGC) for a period of 10 years, effective from the 2024-25 academic year until 2033-34. This significant milestone will empower us to enhance our academic programs, governance, and overall educational experience for our students. We have been honored with Best College award of academic year 2024-25–Urban area by the University of Mumbai.

B. Tech in Department of Electronics Engineering (VLSI Design & Technology) was established in 2023. This branch is more specialized in VLSI (Very Large Scale Integration) of Integrated Circuits. The branch comprises of Design, Testing and manufacturing of Semiconductor ICs. The government of India has already launched allied policies, signed MoUs with various companies (National and International). International government and companies are also setting up testing and manufacturing plants in India. This will open immense job and research opportunities for students and will lead India Semiconductor Mission towards the building of the bright future of VLSI Design aspirants. The branch has different Thrust Area for research and innovation like Front End Design, Back end Design, Embedded Systems, IOT and Emerging Trend in VLSI (AI/ML in VLSI, RF Design, Autonomous Vehicles, Nanotechnology). Faculties have excellent strength in different domains with Industry Experience and Research in VLSI. We also providing a platform for learning to Faculty by motivating them to participate in Faculty Development programs, Short term training program and industry based internships. The department has signed MoU with large VLSI company and plan to collaborate with many companies. We have IESA (Indian Electronics Semiconductor Association) membership to build strong relationships of Industry-Academia. The department has smart classrooms and well equipped laboratories with standard industry based EDA (Electronic Design Automation) tools like Cadence, Tanner, Xilinx etc. Here, we are providing a platform and giving opportunities to students by moulding them in the journey of research, innovation, start-up, Campus to corporate, and building greater India.
